The Proprietary Card Program
What is an ACH Proprietary Card Program?
An ACH Proprietary Card Program is a private label debit card program that offers you, the retailer, low, fixed-cost transactions and provides you information on consumers that are shopping at your stores. Our merchant reporting system is real time and provides information that you currently don’t receive from other payment methods. Our reporting system contains the consumer name, their email address, phone number, shopping frequency and how much they have spent. This information can be used in conjunction with an existing loyalty program.
ACH Proprietary Card fees are substantially less than percentage based fees charged by traditional credit and debit card networks. ACH Proprietary Card transactions are processed by National Payment Card Association (NPCA - www.nationalpaymentcard.com). NPCA is not associated with credit or debit card banking institutions. ACH Proprietary Cards settle transactions from enrolled consumers who have provided NPCA with access to funds in their checking accounts so they may pay for fuel or in-store purchases.

Interchange fees cost American consumers nearly $2 of every $100 they spend using credit cards. As you are painfully aware, Interchange fees cost retailers 1% - 4% and have increased over 130% since 2001. Interchange fees are the 2nd highest store level cost behind labor. The ACH Proprietary Card is a tool retailers can use to compete with bank based payment systems. The ACH Proprietary Card program takes money from the credit and debit card companies and gives it back to you and your customers!
